Wayward Animal Rescue is a new organization serving Schuylkill, Dauphin,Perry and surrounding counties of Pennsylvania. United as one, this group of individuals have banded together to become an organization focused on animal rescue, care and adoption. We wish to be a leading force in the "WAR" against pet homelessness and animal abuse.
We are a no-kill animal rescue and are raising funds to build a shelter. A no-kill shelter is most widely defined as an animal shelter where all "adoptable" and "treatable" animals are saved. This means that all animals with treatable medical conditions shall be provided the veterinary care they need. All animals with moderate behavior issues that require training shall be socialized and provided with that needed training. This does not mean that we shall allow an animal to suffer. If an animal is suffering from injury or ailment, we will show compassion to this animal to relieve that animal from the pain and suffering they are burdened with. This also means that our veterinary bills as well as trainer fees will be a burden of our own. We will raise funds and secure funding for these purposes as well as reach out to the community of veterinarians and trainers who may wish to assist us in our endeavors. Working together with a united team of animal professionals, and the community, we can win this "WAR." We also wish to educate the community in regards to responsible pet ownership including the importance of spaying and neutering. We will offer low cost spay/neuter clinics, low cost vaccination services, seminars on Dog Law, training classes and other community outreach services.
We are currently incorporated as a non profit and looking for property to house our new shelter. We have applied for our 501(c)3 tax
exempt status, are inquiring about grants and funding, as well as planning fund raising events. If you would like to assist us in any way, please feel free to contact us.We can not wait for the day we open our doors and our hearts to the community and their pets, as well as those pets who need to find their forever family. We are overwhelmed with excitement. With your help that day could be soon.

We also wish to be an integral part of our community by helping in any way we can with any situation that may affect our animal friends. We want to be the voice of the animals that has been silenced for too long. We believe that there is no excuse for abuse and are willing to be on the frontline in this W.A.R. We will help provide protection and assistance for the victims of animal cruelty, abuse and neglect.
We look forward to serving the community and providing loving care for all the animals that pass through our doors and stay in our hearts forever.
